Foundation & Friends

The Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to establishing and enhancing library services for our community.

What We Do

The West Yellowstone Public Library Foundation supports the library’s goals and priorities, working closely with the Director to plan and fund projects that benefit users. The Foundation focuses on capital projects, programs, and services that are not covered by public funding. For example, the Foundation might raise part or all of the funds for a new building, purchase books to distribute through a reading program, or provide additional resources for the library’s collection and programming. The funds raised by a library foundation are intended to supplement, not replace, the library’s tax-supported funding.

Support the Library
– Secure and manage resources to strengthen library services.

Advocate
– Promote reading, education, and cultural programs, encouraging residents and visitors to fully utilize library services.

– Serve as a public voice for library needs and represent the interests of library users to elected officials.
– Advocate for adequate, tax-supported funding of all library services.

Activities
– Host special events that engage and benefit the community.

– Sponsor programs and classes at the library.
– Provide volunteer staffing support for various small projects.
