Books, Audiobooks, DVDs
The West Yellowstone Public Library boasts an ever-changing collection of books. We pride ourselves on maintaining a diverse collection to cater to a variety of interests. We have fiction and nonfiction sections for both the juvenile and adult areas, and the titles range from popular titles to newly discovered gems. We have board books, sensory books, picture books, and easy readers for children. We also have a collection of audiobooks if that is your preference. We also keep an up-to-date selection of DVDs for both adults and kids. Be sure to check out the “new” sections for materials that have just come in!
Book Sale
The library houses a continuous book sale with materials that no longer fit with our current collection. Though the stock changes regularly, we do offer a variety of fiction and nonfiction books, children’s books, DVDs, audio books, and CDs for sale. Stop by to check in what new treasures are waiting on these shelves! Paperback books are 50 cents and hardcover are $1. Audio books and DVDs are $1. We do only accept cash.
Digital Media
We offer a digital library in conjunction with Montana State Library. This service is offered through OverDrive online and can also be accessed by downloading the Libby app. Our online offerings cover eBooks, audiobooks, and a variety of magazines.
Inter-Library Loan
Can’t find what you are looking for on our shelves? We partner with Bozeman, Belgrade, Three Forks, and Manhattan in an inter-library loan program to ensure materials are spread easily to those who need them. Librarians are happy to put items on hold for you or teach you to put items on hold for yourself.
Meeting Room
The meeting room is available through reservation with the circulation desk. This is the only area in the library where we can accommodate larger meetings, zoom meetings, phone calls, and other activities that may disturb patrons in the open areas of the library. Feel free to call or visit in person to book. Availability is subject to library programming needs and the discretion of librarians.
Montana Room
The Montana Room is the perfect place for anyone looking for more information on West Yellowstone, Montana, Yellowstone National Park, or angling. We have a space set aside for those that want to utilize the room in peace to find out more information about everything our area has to offer.
Patio
The outdoor patio is available in the summer months and serves as a comfortable outdoor space to securely enjoy the warmer months. Seating and a table are provided.
Printing Services
We offer printing services at 20 cents per side for black and white and 50 cents per side for color. Faxing is not available, but we do offer scanning and can email scanned documents to patrons. Please be aware that the library does only accept cash.
Proctoring
Library spaces are available for proctoring by appointment only. Please email, stop in, or call to schedule for proctoring or find out more information about this service.
Public Computers
We offer three public computers for member and non-member use. These are on a one hour time limit, so be sure to plan accordingly should you need this service.
Free Wifi
Members and non-members are both welcome to use our free public wifi in the comfort of the library!
