Fall & Winter at the Library

As the season winds down and we settle into Fall and Winter, the library still has plenty happening! From longtime favorites to opportunities to try something new, we’ll be keeping the calendar full throughout the slower months. Check our website’s event calendar regularly for dates, times, and any schedule changes.

LEGO Club returns October 7 at 3:15pm! This popular program welcomes kids of all ages for an afternoon of building, creativity, and community. Each week has a different theme for inspiration, but building to the theme is always optional. A full LEGO Club schedule is available at the library and on our online events calendar.

Storytime continues every Wednesday at 11:00am for ages 0–6. Each week brings a new theme with stories, songs, and activities designed to help little ones learn and practice early skills while having fun.

Cookin’ the Books will continue throughout Fall and Winter. Each month, we choose a cookbook, and participants select a different recipe to prepare at home and bring to the library to share potluck-style. Over the meal, we talk about the recipes, the cookbook, what worked, what didn’t, and any creative substitutions or improvisations. It’s a delicious way to connect with other community members and discover something new to cook!

Book Club meets each month for a new book and lively discussion. Monthly selections are announced on our website, Facebook, Instagram, and library flyers. Stop by the library to pick up a copy, then join us for an evening of conversation and good company.

Learn Something New

Our language classes continue throughout the season:

• Intermediate Spanish: Mondays at 6:00pm
• Beginner Spanish: Wednesdays at 5:00pm
• English Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00pm

As schedules can occasionally change, be sure to check the online events calendar for the most current information.

The Women’s Walking Group will continue through October, weather permitting. Meet at the library every Thursday at 9:00am for a 1-1.5 hour hike near West Yellowstone and some time outside with a welcoming group of women.

Need a little help with your technology? Tech Hour takes place Thursdays from 3:00–4:00pm. Bring in your computer, phone, or tablet and we’ll work through your questions together. Tech Hour is focused on learning rather than repairs or hardware upgrades, so come with your questions and leave with a better understanding of how to use your devices with confidence.

Games, Art & Creativity

Board Game Nights take place every Friday from 3:30–6:00pm. We have plenty of games at the library, but you’re always welcome to bring a favorite from home. The group is happy to learn new games, so if you have something we haven’t played before, bring it along!

Our monthly adult art classes offer a different art or craft project each month on a Saturday. Whether you’re looking to pick up a new hobby, stretch your creative muscles, or simply spend a few hours making something, these classes are a fun place to start. Past projects have included macramé, shrink art, and aluminum folk art.
